Parents
Parents are children's first and most important educators
and our teachers and staff feel privileged to share the responsibility and joy
of teaching your children with you.
On these parent pages, you will find many
resources relevant to your family’s life at Schechter Manhattan, including forms, information on how to get involved, a current Parent Handbook, and staff
directory . If you can't find something you need and/or if you have any
suggestions for this website, please let us know (contact Uri Cohen: uricohen@sssm.org / 646-472-5395).

How to Get Involved
In a small, family school such as ours, every single person
counts. The involvement of our parents not only enhances our community by
imbuing it with a variety of perspectives and talents but is vital to many of
the programs that keep our school going. Here are some ways that you can get
involved:
Participate in the Parents’ Association;
Volunteer to help out with the Annual Benefit Dinner;
Help our Development Office connect with new supporters;
Consider being a Class Captain. Contact Lilly Icikson and Shawna Kelleher, Co-Presidents of the Parents' Association at pa@sssm.org.
